OVERVIEW: This editorial design project explores the relationship between typography, illustration, and visual storytelling through a magazine spread featuring baseball star Shohei Ohtani. Using an existing article as the foundation, I developed a unique visual direction that incorporates bold typography, hand-drawn illustration, and a layered baseball schedule to reflect Ohtani's impact on the sport. The project emphasizes creative experimentation, editorial composition, and the balance between expressive design and readability.
